Established in 2011, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award recognizes hospitality businesses who consistently provide superior service across the globe. According to TripAdvisor, only 10-percent of its listings are eligible to receive this honor. To qualify, a hospitality business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least 4 out of 5 bubbles, have a minimum number of reviews, and have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. The travel review site determines recipients of this award through a proprietary algorithm that accounts for the quality, quantity, and how recent reviews are as well as how long the business has been on TripAdvisor.
All seven of ECVC’s properties along with two of its specialty restaurants earned this exclusive award from the world’s largest travel site. In addition, ECVC’s properties in Mazatlán, El Cid Marina Beach Hotel, and El Cid Granada Hotel, as well as La Concha and La Marina restaurants, obtained the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame, a special recognition to businesses that have received a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.
Three of ECVC’s properties within Puerto Morelos and Cozumel also were awarded several recognitions from RCI, one of the world’s largest vacation exchange networks. These recognitions included the RCI Gold Crown Award, the Excellence in Service Award, and the All-Inclusive Premier Award.
