AMResorts®, an Apple Leisure Group® (ALG) related brand, today announced a new resort brand management deal that will bring Dreams® Resorts & Spas to El Macao in the Dominican Republic. Upon opening in the second quarter of 2020, Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana will be the eleventh AMResorts branded property on the island, while Macao Beach becomes the fifth destination in the Dominican Republic in the AMResorts Collection.
The resort is owned by Grupo Santa Maria SA, a company known for its strong presence in the development of aquatic parks, hotels and entertainment centers in the Caribbean and Europe.

The beachfront resort is the only hotel property located on the picturesque Macao Beach, labeled one of the Caribbean’s top beaches by UNESCO, which is near Punta Cana and next to the regions of Bavaro and Uvero Alto. Once complete, Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana will be comprised of 500 rooms and suites, all with spectacular ocean views. Guests looking for a more private experience can choose a unit within the exclusive family villa area, which will feature private swimming pools, play areas and more.
Guests will enjoy Dreams Resorts & Spa’s signature Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept, including reservation-free dining options at six specialty restaurants, including a luxurious buffet, a French restaurant featuring a carefully curated cellar, and a Coco Café with an ice cream parlor.
