July 25, 2017 – Reaffirming its commitment to the arts and entertainment industry, Grupo Vidanta – leading tourism developer and destination resorts operator in Mexico and Latin America – will sponsor the 5th annual Platinum Awards, which recognizes the most outstanding professionals in the Ibero-American film industry.
Miguel Bosé, internationally acclaimed pop musician and actor from Spain, passed the baton to Diego Boneta, actor, singer and model from Mexico, on Saturday, July 22, 2017, during the Platinum Awards Gala celebrated in Madrid, Spain, to announce the new location for next year.
The 2018 awards ceremony will be held in Riviera Maya – the first time the awards will be held in Mexico – where previously Panama, Spain, and Uruguay have played host. The spectacular Vidanta Theater in Riviera Maya will host a series of celebratory events in honor of the internationally acclaimed awards paying tribute to the best directors, actors, actresses, screenwriters, musicians and producers and films directed in the Iberian Peninsula, Latin America and the Caribbean.
