C.A.R.E. Reaching New Participatory Heights in 2016Conference Registration is Open !!

C.A.R.E. will celebrate its 35th Anniversary during its 68th Conference to be held at The Westin
Sarasota, Florida from August 21- August 24, 2021.

Although C.A.R.E. is currently enjoying its 36th year as one of the vacation industry’s leading trade associations, conference attendees will share in the celebration of the organization’s 35th Anniversary, originally slated for C.A.R.E.’s 2020 conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that was cancelled.

C.A.R.E. began because of the desire to provide an extra level of service and fulfillment to timeshare owners. In 1983, one of C.A.R.E.’s original founders and first President, Kathleen Gallardo, while working in the Contracts office of a resort in New Orleans, contacted a resort in Orlando to exchange a week for an owner who had not been able to get an exchange through their primary exchange company. Over time, as more resort-to-resort direct trades were made through a network of resorts, the group thought it would be fun to meet in person.  As a result, sixteen people attended the first meeting in Puerta Vallarta.  The following meeting was held in New Orleans and was attended by 64 people and it was during this meeting that C.A.R.E. was born.  Over the years, the focus of the organization has expanded to include inventory utilization and acquisition, yield management and the participation of service providers.  However, C.A.R.E.’s  vision and mission has remained the same, as has its commitment to the promotion of ethical standards and its Code of Standards and Ethics. C.A.R.E. President, Linda Mayhugh noted “The backbone of the C.A.R.E. Association has always been its ethical prowess in a highly scrutinized and regulated industry for many years now. Our members value and honor the code of ethics and it’s a privilege for our volunteer board and committee members to stand behind the association to protect the integrity of our global industry’s future. We are excited for our 2021 Conference and ready to get back to the work that has been sidelined by the covid-19 pandemic”.

C.A.R.E.’s conference agenda will feature previously announced conference keynotes speakers, Eric Papp, Founder of Agape Leadership, LLC, and Iron Tamer, Dave Whitley. Papp will deliver his keynote address ‘Taking Bold Action in Uncertain Times’ on Sunday, August 22nd and Whitley will present his keynote ‘SuperHuman Success Strategies- How to Discover and Develop Your Own SuperHuman Powers’ on Monday, August 23rd. Conference attendees will also enjoy C.A.R.E.’s special Anniversary Celebration and Awards Evening as well as a Tiki Trivia Trolley Tour.

Attendees are encouraged to reserve accommodations early as C.A.R.E.’s room block is limited.
