Team Classic is gearing up to return to the road in 2019 for Endeavour Foundation’s Great Endeavour Rally from 26 July to 3 August, 2019.

Classic Holidays’ CEO Ramy Filo and Resort Operations Morrison Duncan will once again get behind the wheel as Team Classic in their car, the Silver Gremlin, to take on the challenging rally route through their home state.

This year’s Great Endeavour Rally will see participants take on Central Queensland, starting at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, and taking the roads less travelled across Central Queensland through savanna grasslands towards Julia Creek, known as the Gateway to the Gulf.

Starting in pole position as the highest fundraisers in 2018 raising more than $47,000 for Endeavour Foundation, Team Classic’s run ended in sensational fashion on Day 4 of the eight-day rally last year.

“Our 2018 run quite literally ended with a splash – in drought-ridden NSW!” said team navigator, Morrison Duncan. “Attempts to apportion blame have proven incredibly difficult, with two very conflicting versions of the “incident” doing the rounds,” he said.

Now, after months of counselling and major repairs to the Silver Gremlin, Team Classic are bravely putting aside the trauma of 2018 for the greater good, with their fundraising already at $12,000 and counting ahead of this year’s rally.

“Team Classic have now raised a staggering $137,000 for Endeavour Foundation over six years and we are imploring the timeshare industry and the wider community to again get behind our fundraising efforts – not our driving skills,” said Ramy Filo.

Several major sponsors have already returned to support Team Classic in 2019, including The MBA Partnership,  and Simmonds & Bristow. All monies raised for the Great Endeavour Rally go directly to Endeavour Foundation to support people with a disability through accommodation, education, training, vocational and lifestyle opportunities.
