New Resort Manager Appointed to Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Douglas

Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Warwick as the new Resort General Manager at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Port Douglas.

Managed by Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, the resort is a mixed-use property that offers resort accommodation to the general public and timeshare apartments available to more than 58,000 vacation owners who are part of the leading vacation ownership club, WorldMark South Pacific Club.

Nigel moves to Port Douglas after a year as General Manager at Wyndham Sydney Suites – a timeshare property in the WorldMark South Pacific Club – where he built strong relationships with the hotel’s teams and oversaw a AU$350,000 project to renovate the hotel’s reception area.

Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific Vice President of Operations Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, Warren Cullum, said Nigel brings a strong track record of success in positions of leadership to Ramada Port Douglas.

“Nigel has a well-established reputation for delivering strong financial results, positive customer feedback and effective hotel operations, all of which he did at Wyndham Sydney Suites. Nigel successfully managed this CBD property in the competitive Sydney market and, despite only being with the business for a year, received our Resort Manager of the Year award for 2018,” he said.

“Nigel is a respected hotelier who has held positions of leadership within the hospitality sector for more than 25 years, many of them as a hotel manager. I am confident his work ethic and talent will help our teams deliver even better customer experiences to guests at Ramada Port Douglas.”

Before joining Wyndham, Nigel worked as a General Manager in several Australian and New Zealand properties with TFE Hotels, including Adina Apartments Sydney Central, Vibe North Sydney, Travelodge Wellington and Adina Wollongong.

Ramada Port Douglas, situated in North Queensland on Port Douglas Road, offers guests a mix of studio rooms and one and two-bedroom apartments with air conditioning, bar fridge and an in-room safe.

The property also features a range of facilities, including an onsite day spa, gym, a lagoon pool, swim-up pool bar and event facilities.
