Festiva, the developer for the Festiva hotel and resort properties and the Festiva Adventure Club, has donated $1,500 to the western North Carolina-based Black Mountain Home for Children. These funds will go toward the aid and support of children, from infancy through college graduation, who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.
States Tammy Stone, Reservations Manager for affiliate company Festiva Sailing Vacations: “It’s devastating to see a child in need—children are so vulnerable and in need of care, and their experiences shape who they become as adults. We’re proud to support the Black Mountain Home for Children because they have such a strong history of providing extraordinary care for children who wouldn’t otherwise have anywhere else to turn, by offering family foster care, residential care, transitional living and independent living.”
With an operational office and its parent company’s corporate office in Asheville, Festiva is a regular supporter of numerous humanitarian non-profit and charitable organizations in the western North Carolina region.
Festiva began a flexible endowment fund in 2006 with the intent of providing permanent charitable resources for all the communities where Festiva employees live and work. The primary focus of the Festiva Charitable Fund is to promote education for youth and to assist in efforts to eliminate poverty in its communities. The charitable fund is also used to respond to extraordinary global events.
