Local companies are joining the fifth edition of the Sunset Boat Parade, organized by Sunset World, that’s going to be held this December 18th together with the “Manos Mágicas” program, where more than seven thousand people are expected to attend.

 

Several companies, such as Xcaret, Grupo Anderson’s, Pirotecnia Cancún, Ventura Park, Bepensa, Grupo Regio, Dolphin Discovery y Plaza La Isla, got together to donate prizes in order to award the best Christmas-decorated vessel, such prizes will be bestowed in Jardín del Arte.

This year more than 30 vessels are expected to participate sailing at 5:00 pm through Nichupté lagoon and open sea.

The route will begin at Sunset Admiral Yacht Club, in km 5.8 Boulevard Kukulcán, it will sail through Canal Sigfrido and then it will reach open sea after passing Calinda bridge and continue to Playa Tortugas, where they will return through the same route and end in Sunset Admiral Yacht Club.

During the event there will be a firework show and live music, food and many Christmas handcrafts and products that will be offered by artisans of the “Manos Mágicas” program, created by the Economic Development Department of the Benito Juárez Municipality.

The Sunset Boat Parade is an event for everyone to attend, visitors and locals, it is completely free and it is full of magic. As in previous years, this event also begins the famous Sunset World “toy marathon”, in which people donate toys that will be given to the children of Aitana Foundation, helping children with cancer.

The owners of boats who wish to participate must register in the http://www.sunsetworld.net/sunset-boat-parade/ portal, where they will fill up a form, subscription is free and the only requirement is that the boat must be decorated.
