CANCUN, Mexico, Oct. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — After being closed for 7 months, Sunset World Group’s Sunset Fishermen Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen is preparing to open its doors on October 31. The resort is currently preparing with maintenance, cleaning and staff training in COVID-19 protocols, in accordance with the Hygiene, Sanitation and Security Protocol (HSS), for the protection of employees, members and guests.

As recommended by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, staff training includes basic protection instructions including the proper use of personal protective equipment, installation of sterilizers at hotel entrances and sterilization stations throughout the hotel and the use of digital thermometers to detect possible cases. In addition, hotel employees are receiving training on specific protocols for their work area.

Sunset Fishermen has been recognized year after year with the Distinctive H, the highest certification granted by the Secretaries of Tourism and Health to hotels and restaurants that meet the strictest standards of safety and hygiene in food and beverage handling. In addition, it has been awarded with the RCI Gold Crown award every year since its opening in 1999, and this year it received the Excellence in Service award for the fourth time.
