Hooka Dive, LED Paddle Board, Kayak and more with a special travel package made for family bonding

July 13, 2017 – Families looking to bond while on vacation can explore Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto by land and sea this summer, with a Family Adventure Package meant to give parents and children a taste of the spirit of the region.

Families are encouraged to put away their cell phones and instead focus on nature and outdoor activities at this picturesque resort, which is nestled between the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range and the Sea of Cortez, a National Marine Park. The package includes a three-night stay in a Deluxe Studio Suite, with enough room for the entire family. The kitchenette offers a spacious place to cook quick meals and the suite’s oversized terrace is perfect for basking in the views of the resort’s turtle-shaped pool and sherbet colored sunsets.

As part of the package, families can embark on a guided hike past towering cacti toward a postcard-worthy mountaintop with scenes of where the sky meets the sea. They can also explore the resort by bike, or kayak around the pristine shoreline lined with coves and secluded beaches, as manta rays playfully jump out of the water.

A highlight of the package includes a Hooka diving reef tour for guests 12 and up, which allows participants to use a floating air system to swim at a depth of 20 feet among colorful fish and sea life in the what is considered the “Aquarium of the World.”

For nighttime exploration, families can paddle board under the star-lined sky on boards equipped with LED lights that increase visibility to up 50 feet, uncovering marine life only seen during the evening.

Aspiring golfers can also play nine holes of miniature golf at the Danzante Bay Golf Club putting green, designed by U.S. Open Doctor Rees Jones and inspired by the famed Himalayas putting course in St. Andrews, Scotland, where families can practice together. Currently nine putting holes are completed, with the final nine to be finished this year. The final seven holes of the 7,107-yard, par-72 Danzante Bay Golf Course also will be completed in early November and will showcase wavy desert terrain around a crystal lake, through sand dunes and up into the majestic Sierra de la Giganta mountain range.

The package also includes an hour of free play at the arcade, a special family dinner prepared by the resort’s executive chefs, and a $25 credit to for parents to get pampered at the 39,000-square-foot Sabila Spa, perfect to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring.

The Family Adventure Package starts at $106 per adult, per night, based on double occupancy. An all-inclusive option covering food, plus domestic and international beverages is available starting at $175 per adult, per night, based on double occupancy. The package is available to families who book now through September 30, for stays at the resort through December 20, 2017.

Other adventures available for a separate fee include discovering an underwater view of teeming sea life with SCUBA diving and snorkeling tours, and stand up paddle boarding in one of the top-rated places to SUP in the world due to the calm and serene waters in the Sea of Cortez.

More adventure is on the way, as the resort recently added ATV tours to its list of offerings, where adventurers can explore Mesquite Canyon and take a guided tour of the seaside, tour the local village and have a traditional Mexican meal with locals, all via Honda Deluxe ATVS.
