Puerto Plata’s FIRST Unlimited-Fun® Resort Is Coming In 2016!
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest Sunscape property in the popular Caribbean destination of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. Sunscape Puerto Plata is the first AMResort to open in the destination. The 585-room resort, located on the northern coast of Playa Dorada, offers exquisite views of the fine sand and clear waters of the Dominican Republic’s Golden Beach.
Fun Fact: AMResorts will have 57 resorts in 26 destinations throughout eight different countries by the end of 2018.

Sunscape Puerto Plata‘s culinary options will include eight restaurants and bars with no reservations required so guests can truly relax and have fun while enjoying the resort’s authentic Caribbean ambience. The property, located 11 miles away from the International Gregorio Luperón Airport and 42 miles from the Del Cibao International Airport in Santiago de los Caballeros, is surrounded by an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course and is a short ten-minute drive from downtown Puerto Plata. Walk the famous Malecón beach strip, visit the impressive Spanish fort with lovely ocean views, enjoy an array of land and water activities, and immerse yourself in the Dominican Republic’s rich culture.
