July 10, 2017 – Australasia’s leading service provider in hospitality, leisure and vacation ownership, Beneficium, hosted its third annual group-wide awards, the ‘Benny Awards’, at the newly relaunched The Star Gold Coast last week.

The parent company of the Gold Coast-based holiday companies, Classic Holidays and DAE, as well as finance, investment, education and technology companies, the Benny Awards recognised the group-wide achievements of their staff and Australian and New Zealand resorts over the past 12 months.

Award winners were announced in the following categories:

  • Rising Star Award – Terri Gerritsen, Classic Holidays
  • Best Supporting Role Award – Catherine Webb, Classic Holidays
  • Excellence in Leadership – Charmaine Commane, Sydney Sales Team
  • Innovation Award – Work Inspiration Program
  • Team of the Year (Resorts) – Golden Shores Holiday Club, Gold Coast QLD
  • Team of the Year (Corporate/Sales) – Payroll Team

Beneficium CEO and Chairman, Ramy Filo, congratulated the nominees, winners and staff across the group for their efforts. “The Benny’s are an annual celebration of our people, who show passion and dedication to their work, their colleagues and their industry,” said Mr Filo.

This year’s gala ceremony also coincided with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of global holiday exchange provider, DAE, which opened its doors on the Gold Coast in July, 1997.

DAE co-founder and CEO, Francis Taylor, shared the story of DAE’s humble beginnings, and how their focus on customer service led them to expand into the world’s largest independent owned exchange provider.

“We started DAE with a vision to provide a service to timeshare owners that no other exchange company at the time was offering, and we have stuck by that vision since day one,” said Mr Taylor.

The unwavering commitment has seen DAE become the most awarded service provider in the industry, taking out the title of Best Customer Service at the global timeshare industry’s Perspective Magazine Awards for seven consecutive years.

The Benny Awards were attended by over 250 Beneficium staff, international staff, resorts and industry partners from around the world who shared in the celebration of DAE’s 20th birthDAE.
