Orlando, Florida, October 8, 2018 (PERSPECTIVE MAGAZINE) Festiva, a group of privately held boutique resorts in the United States and the Caribbean continues with its new Festiva Journeys program that educates owners and members about local area attractions, tours, and events by highlighting Charleston, South Carolina, the home of Festiva’s property, the Church Street Inn.
Launched this summer, Festiva Journeys is an innovative program that highlights cities where Festiva properties are located and encourages members to get the most out of their vacation. Previously, Festiva featured Branson, Missouri, home of Festiva’s Cabins at Green Mountain.
Located in Charleston’s popular market area, the Church Street Inn is an elegant property in ideal walking distance of Charleston’s finest restaurants, art galleries, and chic boutiques. Through the Festiva Journeys program, guests staying at the Church Street Inn have access to a wide range of hand-picked activities. On Monday evenings from 5-6 p.m., guests are encouraged to attend the manager’s welcome reception “Musings of Maderia” at the Wagon Wheel Lounge to hear about the weekly events that will be in store for guests.
Charleston is an ideal walking city, and Festiva Journeys has two walking tours each with its own certain flair. Guided by Charleston native, Brian Simms, the Charleston Sole: Walking Tour is a memorable two-hour tour that takes guests strolling through the streets of Charleston. Some of the tour’s stops include the Old Exchange Building, Dock Street Theatre, St. Michael’s Church, and the houses on Rainbow Row. For those who have interest in the paranormal, Chilling Charleston Macabre Ghost Tours depart every evening at 7 and 9 p.m. in front of the Gibbes Museum of Art. Licensed tour guides tell true stories of Charleston’s haunting history. Through the Journeys program, guests staying at the Church Street Inn have an opportunity to take a private ghost walking tour exclusively for them on Wednesday nights.
For travelers who might feel a little thirsty, guests can tour the Charleston Tea Plantation where they can enjoy all-you-can-drink samples of hot and cold teas that are harvested and brewed onsite, including the original “American Classic” tea which in 1987 became the first tea ever to be made with 100% tea grown in America. Nearby, guests can also visit the Deep Water Vineyard, Firefly Distillery, and LowTide Brewery. On Thursday, Festiva members are treated to complimentary wine tasting with Deep Water Vineyard in the Wagon Wheel Lounge at the Church Street Inn.
For almost two decades, Festiva has been one of the fastest growing privately held vacation companies in the United States with properties in popular tourist destinations such as Branson, Missouri, New Smyrna Beach and Kissimmee, Florida, and Myrtle Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. Not only are Festiva members treated to unbeatable customer service and hospitality at all of its properties, but through its flexible point-based vacation club, Festiva owners’ vacation options are endless.
