Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, recently hosted sales, marketing, and operations staff members from Interval-affiliated resorts at its Info-Exchange seminar at the Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort & Spa. More than 85 attendees from the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean participated in the educational event, which familiarizes resort personnel with Interval’s products, support programs, and services, as well as the latest trends in the shared ownership industry.

ā€œInterval has been conducting these seminars for more than 25 years,ā€ said Soraya Gonzales, Interval’s assistant vice president of resort assistance. ā€œAlong with the wealth of practical information offered at these complimentary events, attendees appreciate the opportunity to network with their peers from other resorts, as well as with Interval staff.ā€

Led by Interval executives, the day-long session covered a wide variety of topics. Among the speakers were Sharon Freed, senior vice president, consumer marketing, who kicked off the event with a discussion on Interval’s proprietary U.S. Membership Profile and the use of social media to interact with members and enrich their vacation experience. David Callaghan, vice president, resort sales and service, presented best ways for resorts to optimize their Interval affiliation, highlighting Leisure Time PassportĀ® and Dream Vacation Week for potential buyers. A workshop led by Lori Card-King, vice president of quality assurance, covered Interval’s technology services, such as Qualtrics, a survey and reporting software that can help facilitate efficient resort operations.

ā€œInfo-Exchange is a wonderful opportunity for anyone in resort operations to get to know Interval’s amazing resort assistance team,ā€ said Andy Carver, support department manager at Breckenridge Grand Vacations.Ā ā€œNot only do they put on an exciting seminar, the event provides the opportunity to meet other resort affiliates.Ā I always leave the seminar feeling ā€˜grand’ about our partnership with Interval, and I look forward to passing on this vital information to our owners.ā€

Info-Exchanges are offered in varying national and international locations. They are accredited by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), so attendees can earn

credit toward their Associate Resort Professional (ARP) or Registered Resort Professional (RRP) industry certifications.
