All global Team Members have access to more than 2,500 learning programs, delivered in a variety of ways to fit unique learning styles and schedules within the 24/7 nature of our business. Last year, the HGV Learning and Development team offered 200+ courses, reaching more than 13,000 participants.
To help Team Members achieve a better work-life balance, HGV integrates a spirit of fun engagement and thoughtfulness into the workday at our resorts, corporate offices and call centers. HGV invites Team Members and their families to special events and social gatherings to stay connected and enjoy some downtime with one another. Some of these include movie nights, ice cream socials, holiday celebrations, Bring Our Children to Work Day, financial and wellness classes, complimentary meals and special services, such as mobile mammograms, flu shots and massages.
Service is at the heart of our organization, and every day our Team Members devote countless resources to strengthen our communities. As part of Hilton Worldwide’s Global Month of Service annual volunteer event, more than 1,200 HGV Team Members participate in nearly 50 activities to enhance communities around the world. Notably, in Orlando where the HGV corporate offices are located, 150 colleagues work to complete a variety of service projects to benefit the USO, Fairways for Warriors and the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Throughout the year, we collaborate with many local organizations to support veterans, foster youth opportunities, strengthen communities and promote environmental preservation.
Sustainability is a core business standard. Hilton Worldwide takes a comprehensive approach to sustainability – reducing our impact and looking at all aspects of our business – from the products and services used throughout our resorts to deliver outstanding customer experiences, to how we conserve and use energy and water, to building more efficient hotels. Recently, our new urban Hawaii timeshare resort, Hokulani Waikiki by Hilton Grand Vacations Club, was recognized for sustainable design, construction and operations and achieved LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The resort earned the internationally recognized certification for implementing environmentally friendly construction practices and building systems.
