The company also celebrated the one year anniversary of Wyndham Hotel Group’s expansion into the South Pacific region when the first Wyndham branded hotel in Australia was opened in Surfers Paradise.
In the South Pacific region Wyndham Hotel Group manages and/or franchises hotels under the brands of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts®, Ramada® and Ramada Encore®. Select brands have been identified for growth from the Wyndham Hotel Group portfolio including: Days Inn®, Hawthorn Suites® by Wyndham, and Planet Hollywood®.
Other notable highlights for this rapidly expanding company include the recent purchase and management rights of Ramada Resort Port Douglas and the purchase of apartments and management rights for Wyndham Resort Torquay continuing the company strategy of acquiring property that is suitable for mixed use both as vacation ownership and hotel accommodation.
Franchise agreements for two Ramada properties in New Zealand plus Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific’s announcement of the construction of Stage 3 of WorldMark Resort Denarau Island, one of the largest tourism developments currently being undertaken in Fiji, continued the momentum.
