
John Rogers Burk, Esq. has practiced resort real estate law for over 30 years, first in the San Francisco Bay area, and for the past 22 years near Sacramento. He holds the designation of Registered Resort Professional (RRP) from ARDA and has been involved in registering SPE timeshare projects in California, Florida, Hawaii and Nevada, four of the most highly regulated timeshare jurisdictions. In 1989 he designed the legal structure for what has become the largest non-deeded vacation ownership, points-based plan in the world and the third highest seller of timeshare interests annually.
Roger is a member of the State Bar of California Real Property Law Section and Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section, and the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco.
Always staying active in the community, Roger participates in the Rotary Club of Granite Bay, where he will be President for 2012-2013. He also enjoys doing the game films for Granite Bay High School Varsity Football (16 seasons), and serving on the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation (20 years). He is also a member of South Placer Le Tip. Roger has also been on several boards helping area youth programs and schools, and has also enjoyed his volunteer work as a Scoutmaster and Youth Soccer Coach.
