Company Overview

Now in it’s third successful year, the Alternative Ownership Conference for Resorts and Hotels – Asia Pacific (AOCAP) will be held on 10th and 11th October in Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok, where all eyes in the Alternative Ownership industry will be focused, as more Asian hotel owners and real estate developers look to new revenue streams.

The interest in Vacation Ownership, Fractional Ownership and Private Residence Clubs has been increasing throughout Asia Pacific, and Alternative Ownership worldwide continues to show growth, bucking the trends of “staycation” and declining real estate sales of recent years.

The concept of Alternative Ownership is believed to have started in Europe 50 years ago and today is a major part of the tourism industry throughout the continent. In the US, the concept was introduced over 20 years ago and is today a significant revenue generator for the tourism and real estate industries.

Independent and major branded hospitality groups have entered the Vacation Ownership and fractional sales arena without hesitation, attracted by the additional revenue streams and enhanced profitability that Alternative Ownership offers.

In Asia, AOCAP continues to provide the perfect platform for global industry experts to share ideas and knowledge regarding the hottest topics in the Alternative Ownership arena. The 2011 line up of Speakers from all areas of resorts industry is soon to be announced and previously included Perspective International, The Registry Collection, RCI, Interval International, Absolute World Group, Marriott, Preferred Residences, Generator Systems, Hutchinson, ICE, Dial and Exchange, Interval International, Property Report Asia and the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Councils.

Building on highly successful the 2009 and 2010 events, AOCAP 2011 will provide a practical forum using case studies and operators’ knowledge to bridge the gap between conceptualisation and implementation. Workshops in both English and Thai language, allow a more detailed discussion in smaller groups and encourage more in-depth evaluation of the benefits and implementation of Alternative Ownership revenue models, as well as providing a forum to answer any questions delegates may have. Exciting networking opportunities are always scheduled giving delegates the chance to share experiences with other like-minded individuals in a more informal atmosphere.

AOCAP is one industry conference not to be missed which year on year delivers an abundance of fractional knowledge and understanding for national and international hotel & resort owners and operators, management and vacation ownership companies, fractional sales & marketing companies, real estate developers, tourism authorities, lifestyle companies and the press.
