Barry Robinson has been the CEO and Managing Director of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific since 2003.

In 2009 Barry launched the Wyndham Hotel Group brand in the South Pacific as Managing Director. Under his supervision, both Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific and Wyndham Hotel Group in the South Pacific are actively expanding into new Asian markets.

Barry is responsible for managing the region’s largest vacation ownership company with more than 44,000 vacation owners and expanding Wyndham Hotel Group’s brands throughout the South Pacific including Wyndham Hotels & Resorts®, Ramada®, Hawthorn Suites® by Wyndham and Days Inns® brands.

During his career, Barry has held a number of senior leadership positions in the Asia Pacific region for some of the world’s largest hospitality companies including Swiss-Belhotel International, Swissôtel Worldwide Partner Hotels and Choice Hotels International. With more than 30 years’ hospitality experience, he has a vast knowledge of the hotel and resort industry – from development, to branding, management, franchising and operations.

As CEO and Managing Director of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Barry has been the driving force behind many significant business practice innovations including a revised corporate structure, renewed customer focus, new property acquisitions and enhanced resort developments.

He has consulted and sat on a number of boards and regularly participates in panel discussions at industry conferences. He was awarded the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) “Outstanding Contribution to the Industry” award in 2009 and in 2011 was elected President of ATHOC.
