Al Mohannad Sharafuddin was born August 1967 in Saudi Arabia to a prominent and highly regarded Yemeni family. He graduated from the University of Jordan with a degree in agricultural engineering but promptly discovered the timeshare industry and found his career. Starting in 1994 as a sales consultant in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia, Al Mohannad excelled and rapidly achieved the position of top producer across eight sales offices. In little more than a year, he was promoted to sales supervisor, then sales manager, and had become training manager for Saudi and the Gulf region.

Arriving in Dubai in 1996, it didn’t take Al Mohannad long to recognise that the UAE and Dubai in particular was a tremendously promising market for timeshare. In 1999 – the same year that he received Interval International’s Winners Circle Award for Outstanding Sales Performance – Mohannad Sharafuddin, as the principal shareholder and managing director, founded Arabian Falcon Holidays.

With a natural ability to attract talented people, Al Mohannad grew the company quickly. Arabian Falcon successfully sold timeshare products for several high quality resorts in Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia and built a wide client base throughout the Middle East and Africa.

In 2003 Mohannad gained an important contract for Arabian Falcon as exclusive UAE sales and marketing agent for Royal Club at Palm Jumeirah (RCPJ), the first Dubai based timeshare resort. He also received an II award for Outstanding Industry Performance and opened a new, 1000 sqm purpose built sales office at Citibank Tower in Dubai.

The small group of committed individuals who formed the start-up team is now a more than one hundred strong workforce in AFH’s offices in Dubai and 50 strong workforces in AFH’s offices in Jeddah – Saudi Arabia. Al Mohannad remains very ‘hands on’ and believes passionately in providing only the most superior vacation experiences and client service to his members. Many have become personal friends and the ‘Falcon Family’ continues to expand.

2007 was a record year for Arabian Falcon Holidays, with sales of Royal Club at Palm Jumeirah exceeding AED117 million (US$ 32 million). The end of 2007 saw the project sellout and sales of Royal Club at Downtown Dubai (RCDD) – the city’s first urban vacation ownership opportunity – were launched. In the end of 2010 when the market showed recovery Al Mohannad and Arabian Falcon Holidays launched their newest project The Royal Club at The Bonnington Tower (RCBT), Another luxury vacation destination on the heart of new Dubai.

Al Mohannad Sharafuddin’s ambition is a reality: to continue be the Middle East’s premier international service provider to the timeshare industry.
