Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE: BXG), a leading provider of Colorful Places to Live and Play, today announced the success of an associate, Tony Puleo, in raising over $3,735 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Tony worked in conjunction with the Fort Lauderdale, Florida chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club to organize a charity ride on April 3, 2011 that raised over $10,000 for the organization.
Tony Puleo, Chief Financial Officer of Bluegreen Corporation, personally raised $3,735 as he participated in a charity motorcycle ride hosted by the 101st Chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. Several of the individuals Tony enlisted to raise funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation were Bluegreen associates. Bluegreen Corporation also donated the beverages for the charity ride.
Southern Cruisers Riding Club is an international organization of riders who participate in rides, multi-chapter rallies and other family-oriented events, such as fundraisers and charity events. The club maintains chapters throughout the United States, Canada and the Czech Republic, and welcomes riders of all motorcycles. The organization’s official charitable organization is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, but rides often benefit other organizations, such as the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.[member]
The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world’s largest non-governmental source of funding for childhood brain tumor research. The nonprofit charitable organization provides for research dedicated to eradicating the disease, as well as funding to support families affected by childhood brain tumors.
