ATHOC’s Australian Timeshare Industry Golf Open Raises $30,000 for Charity

A brilliant day was had by all at this year’s ATHOC Foundation fundraiser golf outing, the industry’s chance to give back to the community and have a great time as well. An impressive $30,000 was raised for charity. The 2010  Australian Timeshare Industry Golf Open, hosted by the Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC), was held 26 February at Colonial Golf Club in Robina, Gold Coast, Australia. The fundraising and networking event also featured a luncheon and an awards presentation function.

The ATHOC Foundation aims to assist those faced with unforeseen emergencies in the local communities, such as young Tara, who was born with pseudoarthrosis, which resulted in her leg being amputated below the knee. The ATHOC Foundation is purchasing a $4,000 sports prosthesis so that Tara can run and play like all other children her age. Hosting the Australian Timeshare Industry Open is the first of many endeavors aimed at raising funds for this worthy foundation.
