April 27, 2017 – Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Mars as the new General Manager of Ramada Port Douglas.
Duncan comes to Wyndham with fifteen years’ senior management experience in hospitality, including the last five years as a General Manager in Victoria.
Ramada Resort Port Douglas, situated in North Queensland on Port Douglas Road, is a mixed-use property available to both hotel guests and timeshare owners in the WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham.
Matt Taplin, Senior Vice President Resort Operations and Property Development of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, said Duncan’s experience in both hotel and vacation ownership operations will make him an asset to Wyndham.
“Duncan has extensive experience at selecting the best staff for his resort and building capable teams through professional development and strong communication. At his previous position, he impressively led a conversion of his resort to a more upscale brand, and improved its service offerings and team culture accordingly,” Mr Taplin said.
“These essential skills, along with his desire to continually enhance customer experiences, make him an excellent fit for Ramada Port Douglas.”
The resort offers guests a mix of hotel rooms, one and two-bedroom apartments with air conditioning, bar fridge and an in-room safe. The property also features a range of facilities, including an onsite day spa, gym, a lagoon pool with a waterfall, swim-up pool bar and event facilities.
