The Quality In Service Offered By The Properties At Sunset World Has Been Rewarded

Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences has retained its leadership year after year in the vacation club segment of the Mexican Caribbean as practically from day one its quality has been rewarded by Resort Condominiums International (RCI), the most important timeshare vacation exchange network in the world.

The rewards were presented this morning in a ceremony held at La Vela Restaurant in Sunset Marina Resort & Yacht Club attended by Sunset World executives led by Arturo Marcelín, Vice-president of Sales and Marketing and Germán Fayad, Director of Operations, as well as Juan Ignacio Rodríguez and Gustavo de la Serna, the Vice president of Regional Business Development and the Regional Director of Business Development for RCI Latin America, respectively.

Juan Ignacio Rodríguez explained that the “Gold Crown” awards being presented to Hacienda Tres Ríos Resort Spa & Nature Park, Sunset Royal Beach Resort, Sunset Marina Resort & Yacht Club and Sunset Fishermen Resort are rewards which the company grants as the results of excellent ratings by guests and visitors to the properties in Cancún and the Riviera Maya. The Excellence Services reward was also presented to Hacienda Tres Ríos, Sunset Royal and Sunset Marina, and the latter also received the All Inclusive Premier plaque.

Mr. Rodríguez stated that for RCI it is a great honor to present these rewards to the resorts of the group especially because out of the 4,500 affiliated establishments throughout the world, no more than 70 obtain them. “What this means is that the Sunset World developments are among the best, they are on top” he stressed. During his speech, Juan Ignacio Rodríguez expressed that Sunset World is part of that great driving force that allows for Mexico and the great tourist industry to maintain a 20% growth in the number of visitors. He continued by saying that, at least in the past 24 years, the Group and its collaborators have successfully faced the challenges of the passing of hurricanes “Gilbert” and “Wilma”, the economic crisis in the country in 1987 and 1995, the health crisis caused by influenza and, last but not least, the climate of insecurity. “All of this has happened during these past years and you are still here, thanks to you, things are working well”, he added.

Mr. de la Serna explained that the awards are not determined by the company but by the members who come to stay and rate according to what they experienced during their stay, while Mr. Arturo Marcelín highlighted that what makes the difference in service and the company’s trademark is its collaborators and that is reflected in the numbers of tourists that come back to Quintana Roo year after year to stay in any of the hotels at Sunset World. “Clients will not really come back because of the facilities or what the hotels offer them but because of the way they are treated in Mexico, the love they receive that makes them feel as if they were home”, he added. He also pointed out that thanks to the quality in service they have clients who have bought up to six times.
