RCI GolfA wonderful day of golf and fundraising for the children of Christel House

The beautiful parkland course at Badgemore Park Golf Club in Henley-on-Thames was again the venue for a hugely successful event, held in warm summer weather. Title Sponsors RCI and Signature Sponsors Nexus Leisure headed up a host of generous supporters and 14 teams competed for the Ron Haylock Memorial trophy.

Worthy winners were the First National Trustee Company team, captained by Lee Dowling (Senior Vice President EME at Marriott Vacations Worldwide) who led his team mates Sue and John Colby and Peter Coles to victory. Team ā€œmanagerā€ Lisa Migani, Business Development Director for FNTC, said: ā€œwe have been proud supporters of the work of Christel House for many years and we applaud the achievements of their students; I am so thrilled that our team has won this competition, it was a great day in aid of a wonderful causeā€.

Two teams from RCI, Team RCI 2 and Team RCI 3, tied for second place.

Players were joined by more supporters for drinks and dinner with a fun-filled raffle and auction, hosted impeccablybyRobinMills. AnoutstandingtotalofoverĀ£54,400wasraised;thisimpressivesumwillgo100%to programmes that support Christel House children in South Africa and India. Vivienne Noyes-Thomas of Christel House Europe said: ā€œthis was our 13th Golf Open event in Europe. The support we receive from people linked to the timeshare industry is fantastic and continues to grow each year; Iā€™d like to thank all those involved for their generous participation and hard work in helping us run this super eventā€.
