Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Mitchell as the new Resort Manager of Ramada Resort Rotorua Marama.
Justin will be responsible for day-to-day operations at the Lake Rotorua resort, which features 78 self-contained apartments and facilities including an outdoor pool and spa, tennis court, gym, barbeque areas and a private boat ramp and berth.
Justin comes to Ramada Resort Rotorua Marama with extensive experience gained during almost a quarter-century in the hospitality and tourism sectors, where he worked his way from being a Food and Beverage Assistant to a Resort Manager.
For the past four years, he has worked as the General Manager of Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown, in New Zealand’s south. He has a strong record in resort operations, including front-of-house, hotel services, food and beverage, and budgeting and financial management.
Wyndham’s Senior Vice President Resort Operations and Property Development, Matt Taplin, said Justin’s move to Ramada Resort Rotorua Marama represents a homecoming.
“Justin was locally raised in Rotorua, and has recently returned to the region. He is very excited to take up his next challenge in his hometown and we are delighted to have a professional of Justin’s calibre joining our team,” Mr Taplin said.
Justin started his career in food and beverage in Rotorua, before stints in both Hamilton and Queenstown.
