Kuta Beach is the ideal destination for celebrating Chinese New Year in Seminyak, Bali.  Its local Chinese temple, Vihara Dharmayana, plays host to a dragon parade, Barongsai dancers, prayers and an outstanding fireworks display over the ocean.  The resorts along its sandy stretch host themed dinners and buffets along with traditional performances and festive celebrations.

Anantara Vacation Club Seminyak Bali will offer a special dinner on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at Serai, the resort’s restaurant.  A four-course fixed price meal with wine is offered on Christmas Eve at IDR 1,050,000 per person, plus tax and service charges, while  a family-style New Year’s Eve dinner will be priced at IDR 550,000 per person, plus tax and service charges.  Both will feature traditional Balinese culinary favorites as well as local seafood options. Chinese New Year will be marked with a three-course family-style dinner featuring traditional Chinese favorites such as Peking Duck, Dim Sum and Roast Pork.  The Chinese New Year feast is offered at just IDR 350,000 per person, plus tax and service charges.

Anantara Vacation Club Mai Khao Phuket

Phuket is the best place in Thailand to celebrate the Chinese New Year.  Phuket’s Old Town is filled with vibrant and fun activities, such as colourful parades and fireworks displays. Visitors will delight in navigating its street vendors and charming shops while taking in the area’s Sino-Portuguese architecture.  Thalang Road, one of Phuket’s main streets, will be closed to automobile traffic each evening so that pedestrians can stroll leisurely while enjoying the beautiful decorations, lights and activities on offer.  On 27 January, the city will host a fireworks display.
