Site works begin this week on an expansion of Ramada Resort by Wyndham Flynns Beach – part of leading timeshare club, WorldMark South Pacific Club – which will double the resort’s room inventory.
The development will expand the popular resort by 53 one, two, three and four-bedroom villas with a mix of deluxe, grand and presidential suites. This will diversify the accommodation types offered, and will increase the number of apartments from 60 to 113. The development will also include a new café, gym, games area, kids’ pool, common area pavilions and car parking, while the reception area will be relocated to the front of the property adjacent to the driveway.
The resort is part of WorldMark South Pacific Club, which has more than 58,000 owners served by Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, a division of the world’s largest vacation ownership and exchange company, Wyndham Destinations, Inc. (NYSE:WYND).
“Ramada Flynns Beach typically hits occupancy levels of 90 per cent across the year thanks to its popularity with the club’s vacation owners and resort guests. This expansion will provide a wider range of high quality accommodation in Port Macquarie for the Club’s growing owner base, along with domestic and international travellers,” said Warren Cullum, Vice President Resort Operations – South Pacific, Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific.
“The resort is proud to contribute an estimated $10 million to the local economy every year and we are excited about the potential this project has to bring more visitors and a greater financial benefit to the region.
“We also expect the expansion of the property will benefit local employment directly through new jobs at the resort and indirectly when some suppliers create additional positions,” Mr Cullum added.
Works will start at the property in mid-March and will be split into five stages, with an anticipated completion date of Q3 in 2020. The expansion is the second and final stage of Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific’s masterplan for the site.
A team will complete onsite establishment works while another in nearby Gosford will assemble the villas. Employing modular construction will minimise the potential impact to resort guests and the environment surrounding the resort, as well as guaranteeing quality finishes and a quicker delivery to the market.
Ramada Flynns Beach is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, just a one-hour flight or four-hour drive from Sydney. It is a family friendly resort, close to the town’s dining, shopping, and entertainment precincts, offering excellent family holiday facilities.
The WorldMark South Pacific Club is a modern and flexible Vacation Ownership program with a network of quality resort accommodation across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Thailand and Hawaii in the US.
