Anantara Vacation Club partners with charitable organization The Freedom Story to raise educational funds and improve the lives of underprivileged Thai children

Prizes worth half a million Baht available for guests to win

March 8, 2017 –
Anantara Vacation Club, Asia’s leading luxury shared ownership concept for discerning travellers, is delighted to partner with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation to collect donations for The Freedom Story at the 2017 King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament.  The Freedom Story (www.thefreedomstory.org) helps educate Thailand’s at-risk youth through a combination of scholarships, mentorship initiatives and sustainability tools at its dedicated resource centers.  To date, the organization has successfully helped 180 young people stay in school while providing educational aid to thousands more. This year’s King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament will be held from 9 – 12 March 2017 on the banks of the Chaophraya River, next to the Anantara Bangkok Riverside Hotel.

A charitable game will be run by The Freedom Story at Anantara Vacation Club’s event booth, with all proceeds benefitting Thailand’s at-risk youth. Each donation of THB 200 will offer participants the opportunity to win four major prizes.  Each prize includes a luxurious four- day/three-night stay worth USD 3,300 in a Two Bedroom Pool Villa at Anantara Vacation Club Mai Khao Phuket. Runner up prizes include high tea for two at select Anantara Hotels and Resorts, as well as handcrafted soaps by The Freedom Story. Event guests may participate by visiting the Anantara Vacation Club Booth at the Elephant Polo event.  They may participate in the lucky draw as often as they would like, with a new entry being awarded for each donation of THB 200.

The King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament is hosted annually by Anantara Hotels and Resorts.  Now in its 15th year, the tournament has become one of the most prominent charitable events in Southeast Asia and has raised over THB 46 million towards improving the lives of Thailand’s wild and domesticated elephant population.

Join Anantara Vacation Club in bringing freedom to Thailand’s at-risk youth and elephant population from 9 – 12 March 2017. With plenty of entertainment and engaging activities to be had on-site over the course of four days, the event will be a hit with all ages.
