Australasia’s largest Resort and Club Management company, Classic Holidays, has joined forces with The OTIS Foundation to give the gift of holiday accommodation to those dealing with the challenges of breast cancer.

The OTIS Foundation is a national charity which provides retreat accommodation at no cost to those experiencing the physical and psychological challenges of the disease.

Hundreds of families benefit from The OTIS Foundation each year, providing them the opportunity to take a break away, relax, reconnect and create special memories together.

Kristin Cook, Stakeholder Relations Manager for The OTIS Foundation, said that the gift of time away has an immediate benefit for both the individual who has faced a breast cancer diagnosis and their families, “We often find that is the children and partners who equally benefit from an OTIS stay. The time together becomes so much more than a holiday, it is a time to enjoy shared experiences and often can be a pivotal turning point.“ Mrs Cook said.

Classic Holidays CEO, Ramy Filo, said the company’s partnership with The OTIS Foundation would build on their efforts to help those most in need.

“At Classic Holidays, we are passionate about giving back and being a leader for positive change within the timeshare industry and in the community in general. The partnership will also be rolled out to over 65,000 members and encourage our members to donate their Timeshare usage to The OTIS Foundation for use by OTIS guests,” said Mr Filo.

“Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women, with one in eight developing this disease in their lifetime – 48 women are being diagnosed every day,” he said.

“With more than 40 club property resorts across Australia and New Zealand and access to thousands of resorts and hotels worldwide, giving these families the gift of holiday accommodation in our resorts will allow them to relax, reconnect and take a well-deserved break away.”

The partnership between Classic Holidays and The OTIS Foundation was launched on 1 August, 2018. For more information about the OTIS Foundation, visit their website at www.otisfoundation.org.au
