BuyaTimeshare.com has announced its latest employee-based community initiative, organizing a toy drive to collect toys for underprivileged children in time for the Christmas holiday.
Working in conjunction with Tampa-based non-profit group Metropolitan Ministries, employees will collect toys in the lead-up to the holiday and donate them on December 21st in time to be distributed to local children in need.
“I am so proud of our employees for taking the time to give back to children from families that aren’t as fortunate at this special time of year, and I will personally match their donation by matching the value of the toys collected,” said BuyaTimeshare.com President and CEO Wesley Kogelman. “We have had a very good year in 2018 and I am delighted to support such a tremendous group like Metropolitan Ministries.
Assisting the homeless and hungry has been the foundation of Metropolitan Ministries since 1972, when 13 Tampa churches from different denominations combined their community outreach efforts to form Metropolitan Ministries. In 2017, over 18,000 toys were given to area children and this year the group has set a target to collect 30,000 toys.
